Even early in her career, Obsession stood out. She has a large, well-balanced frame with impressive bone—so much so that Wade Geese mistook her for a two-year-old in the Get of Sire competition at Gold Country Gathering when she was only 13 months old. Her phenotype is exactly what you want in a breeding female: strong, correct, and commanding in presence.
As a production dam, Obsession has been everything we hoped for. Even as an unproven maiden, she handled gestation, birthing, bonding, and nursing with complete ease. She is the kind of dam that makes breeding enjoyable—reliable, maternal, and consistent.
Her show record reflects her quality. She earned 2nd place at CABA in juvenile white full-fleece halter, with judges praising her fineness and uniformity of fineness—two traits that define her fleece today. She carries all the attributes of a true foundation female: fineness, uniformity, and density.
Obsession’s EPD profile is outstanding. Six of her eight traits rank under 5%, aligning perfectly with our breeding philosophy: low, balanced EPDs across all traits to ensure improvement in every fiber characteristic. We do not chase isolated 1% values at the expense of others—we breed for uniform excellence, and Obsession embodies that goal. Her current breeding to Red Granite’s Pruet is designed to maintain her elite profile while boosting both staple length and fleece weight.
